  Came here for a lighter lunch and the food was excellent. All the focaccia sandwiches were tasty. This place did cost a bit more due to the added fee per person and the gratuity but this is a nicer restaurant and service was great so that wasn’t an issue.   I had come here many years ago, and I have a found memory still. This time we came as a date night, had we had a delicious experience ❤️ We used TheFork to book it so we also got a 30% discount on the a la cart, and that was great. We had a delicious Rúbia Gallega meat, had for side dish we got this amazing incredible rice with meat, we also had some fries but those were just OK. As for dessert we chose the brownie, it was nothing like a normal brownie 😅 If you are thinking chocolate think again as the main flavors are passion fruit and peanut. Service was great!   Seemed like a nice place at first but the longer we stayed the more unpleasant became the experience. The food was overall ok, the steak pretty good, but carpaccio wasn’t a carpaccio but a cured meat and tart tatin was overcooked. But the service really spoilt the experience. Veeeeeery slow, from the start , handling menus took 6min as we sat down, and then the order was taken in another 10. There were only 3 other tables at a time. The waiter asked if he can pick up the fries, we were still eating it, half full the basket of fries. We said no. 2 mins later he came back and just took it as I haven’t finished. Getting a bill, taking payment - all took 30mins, as meanwhile 2 waiters were on their phones and not making eye contact, not asking if everything was good. Not enough for visibly pretentious restaurant and rather high prices/portions. I’d understand if the margins go into the staff costs but it wasn’t the case unfortunately. the ambience was nice and welcoming and the food came fast but the service staff needs training. O garçom perguntou se ele poderia pegar as batatas fritas, ainda estávamos comendo, com a cesta de batatas fritas pela metade. Nós dissemos não. 2 minutos depois ele voltou e pegou porque eu não terminei. Receber uma conta, receber o pagamento - tudo demorou 30 minutos, pois enquanto isso dois garçons estavam ao telefone e não faziam contato visual, nem perguntavam se estava tudo bem. Não é suficiente para um restaurante visivelmente pretensioso e preços/porções bastante elevados. Eu entenderia se as margens fossem para os custos com pessoal, mas infelizmente não foi o caso. o ambiente era agradável e acolhedor e a comida chegou rápida, mas a equipe de serviço precisa de treinamento.

  A small yet charming and vibrant wine restaurant. They have some selected good cocktails too. The food is also good. The staff here is very helpful and friendly. The service is fast and with a smile. Location is excellent and very easy to reach from Corodoaria. Must try their Duro wine.   I had a brilliant meal of Pork Secret with green salad and Roast Beef Foccacia. I’m guessing that the pork secret was thinly sliced meat from around/between the ribs, done beautifully crispy - and the salad was a lovely fresh blend of matcha, arugula and other greens with flakes of romano and a lovely fresh dressing.   Food is exceptional…. If the server is on point. Our server (5 people in our group) barely made eye contact, literally ignored our table, brought the wrong entrees all around and never returned again to check on us, had to be prompted eac and every time for drinks / water. We ourselves got up 2x to go get our own water bottles, it was that bad. That said, the server downstairs who served our appts and drinks was exceptional, so there’s that.   Check your bill before you pay, as they seem to take the liberty of adding the “optional” tip without even asking 🙄 When he saw me check, he immediately grabbed the machine to make it look like he added it (although I’d already seen the amount when he set it down). Not a fan of that sketchy behavior towards tourists. Service otherwise was not especially helpful—had to make a point of asking for everything. Maybe this is just Porto 🤔 I only had a little tapas dish (broken eggs), but it was delicious after a long day of touring about. The wines and port were solid and a good price, and the street is nice and quiet, which is ultimately why I stuck around. It was our first place we visit in Porto, we had some drink, and a plate of cheese and meat. The cheese wasn't our favorite, but the meat was really nice, and the waitress was very friendly.   Very nice atmosphere, great music choices and perfect volume: it allowed us to talk without having to raise our voices or strain to hear. The wait staff was very attentive, our glasses were always full, and after ordering the food didn't take too long, and good company and the couvert of focaccia made it seem like no time at all :) We ate the Iberian pork for 2, it and the side of french fries were delicious; the chocolate brownie at the end was bit too busy though (too many toppings), and the brownie itself was creamy instead of chewy or fudgy which was a bit disappointing. The price was a bit steeper than what we expected from looking at it online, but the quality made it worth it. (The menus that appear here are not the same as the one presented at dinner time, at least not when we went) All in all, it was a great experience! The upstairs is actually a steakhouse, and we made the mistake of booking our dinner reservation there. The lounge downstairs is actually a first come first serve basis, but luckily, we had arrived early and they didn’t mind moving us downstairs. This is where they serve sandwiches, charcuterie, and other shared plates. The antipasti and trio of bruschetta were fantastic, and the eggs over fries / mushrooms with truffle oil is also delicious (albeit a bit salty).   Me and my girlfriend had dinner at Reitoria a few weeks ago. Pros: Great environment to chill and have a good time. The quality of ingredients is quite good as well as the wine offer. Cons: Main dish was served cold. Waitress lacked professionalism and sympathy. Overall I give 2 stars due to the overpriced service for such quality.
